Regarding your view about Cheney and Bush's intelligence, I think Bush is dull when it comes to verbal and academic performance, but he does have the intelligence of a rat, a cunning and an ability to dissemble, cajole, and play the folksy fellow. Like other members of his ultra-rich class, he was raised with a sense of superior entitlement and self-superiority, but also with the awareness that he must never show it, especially if he intended to go into public life. In this he has been vastly more successful than his father who comes across as the snotty Yalie elitist that he is.

all the best,

Michael
